While it wasn’t really “take your family to work day”, we pretended it was and squeezed in a quick tour of Logan’s shop before he jetted off to Japan. He is an aviation maintenance officer in the Marines and is in charge of making sure the CH-53’s stay up and running.  The kids enjoyed getting […]

Before Logan left for his deployment in April, we decided to take a little impromptu trip up to Disneyland and Huntington Beach for the weekend. You military spouses know how it is, trying to fit everything fun in right before an upcoming move or deployment. So, staying true to military tradition, we packed our bags […]

A tribute to my sweet Semper who will be forever missed.

  • Christie - My favorite memory with sweet Semper was our little mini photo shoot and Semper wanting to be in every shot! He never snuggled me so much than when I was at his house!ReplyCancel

  • Kristen B - I will always remember going to Sarah’s house (in Virginia) to hang out watch a show or a movie (probably 50 shades) and Semper would know that if he came to sit on my lap I would pet him the entire time! Love that little pup and I know how much your family is hurting. It hurts me to read your sadness. Semper was a lucky and loved dog!

Tyler: i remember Ms Sarah letting me walk him around the playground. That was really awesomeReplyCancel

  • Alicia - As your neighbor, I just loved the moments we’ve shared out in the circle with Semper sweet as can be. He gave me my dog fix by letting me love on him! “My” Semper died several years ago, and I don’t know when I’ll ever take a chance with another dog, but I would want a dog just like Semper. Such a precious and faithful friend he was for you. He will be greatly missed.ReplyCancel

Two weeks ago, Logan returned home from a six and a half month deployment to Japan. I know, I know, shocker. I didn’t exactly announce it on social media. There’s a multitude of security reasons behind my decision and the fact that I didn’t have much time to throw myself a pity party. I didn’t […]

Amelia got to practice her makeup skills on her very patient big brother (the iPad certainly helped to keep him occupied.) We spent Sunday evening playing at a friend’s house while watching the planes land at the San Diego Airport, with a beautiful sunset backdrop.

  • Jennifer Didio - Hello Sarah,
I discovered you through a Pinterest picture of your witch’s broom. Very clever!
I noticed you haven’t had any posts for a while. Hope all is well with you and your family.ReplyCancel

    • admin - I’ve had such a busy year with my husband being deployed. But I promise to start doing a better job! lol It’s nice to be missed though!ReplyCancel
